"The Noodle Master" is a fictional, non-existent novel that talks about how a noodle chef tries to become famous by competing challenges in life and working the way to success. The context of the story will grab the attention of the noodle enthusiasts as well as people who are craving for food. The goal of this novel is to convince the reader into reading the story and delve deep into how the main character will succeed. In addition, because this is a food-related novel, it will make readers hungry after their reading.

Using inspiration from the mood board above, I decided to play around with the placement of the elements based on where are they are going to go and figure out how I'm going to lay them out properly for good hierarchy. Because I intended to have the bowl of noodles take up big space on the cover, it was not hard to brainstorm and design because I only needed a few elements to arrange. In addition, each back cover idea follows similar layouts, like from real novels.
The book cover uses a lot of "yummy" colors such as shades of yellow and orange, since the colors are well known for being included on food products or advertisements. The title consists of multiple triangles that have been stretched to form the strokes of the lettering. Because noodles are a Chinese culinary dish, it would be best to have the overall appearance based off a cultural look to it due to the change in the stroke thickness of the title as well as a serif font to match the mood of the book cover. All text and graphics are done through Adobe Illustrator whereas the bowl of noodles is just simply cut out from Adobe Photoshop using the "Quick Selection" Tool.
